The studio of modern classical music.

01

The art of building bridges

Many arrangers have no classical background and do not speak the same language as the players. Conversely, many orchestrators remain strangers to the codes of contemporary music. Verba Volant Studio was born from this ambition: to combine mastery of orchestral writing with an intimate knowledge of these genres, creating arrangements that fit naturally into every project. This has been the studio's philosophy since its founding in 2020.

A goldsmith's craft

A Zakarius arrangement blends into the song until it becomes inseparable from it. Written as much for the instruments as for those who play them, it combines musical rigour with a natural feel in performance. Because technique only makes sense when it serves the song and its emotion.

Vision before notes

Every project starts with a conversation about its aesthetic, its purpose, what it has to say. The music comes after.

A founder from the stage

Verba Volant Studio grew out of the journey of Zakarius, alias of the composer Corentin Apparailly. Five years of international touring with a string quartet, works performed in several countries, and a writing that spans chamber music to the symphony orchestra. Today, he puts this intimate knowledge of instruments and the stage at the service of artists and their songs.

Varied universes

The studio works with pop, rap and French chanson artists, and has notably worked with M83 on the soundtrack of a film honoured at Cannes. Whether for an album, a concert, a live session or a film score, each arrangement is designed to serve the artist's universe and the needs of the project.
